First we went into Skipton the closest town. And like a lot of the towns we've been though, it is called a historic market town! We walked up and down the streets and had a look. I was looking for a fabric shop called Fent, which I found online, but when we went looking for it at the address we had, there wasn't a shop there... So, I still haven't been to one! I didn't take any photos of Skipton for some reason. It has a lovely feel and lots of,character in the centre of the town.
We had lunch at an Italian restaurant - Brody's, we had almost had dinner at on Sunday night. I had a prawn linguini which was lovely, and Peter and a pizza. It was rather nice.
We then went off to Malham to visit the Tarn. Malham Tarn is rather nice and in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We did a little walking. And then visited the town of Malham, which is another lovely little village and had afternoon tea.
We drove back to Skipton and went to the supermarket and bought some dinner then went home as there are walking paths going past our house, and I wanted to walk down at least one path! I was hoping to go and visit the donkeys we could see on the hill, but I couldn't work out how to get there... And it was getting dark, so we just went down to the bottom of the hill! Of course, I wished I had gone down there earlier and had longer to walk on the paths!!!!
