Arriving in London

I had thought that travelling thru Singapore would make the trip horribly long, it was long, about 36 hours from home to Heathrow, but really, it was much better than the one long sector and a shorter one.  It was good to get up and get moving after 7 and a bit hours and we weren't at Singapore or Dubai that long.  I thought I might have trouble sitting for all that time, but didn't and I didn't get "toilet" breath....  That horrible taste in your mouth you get when the toilets are YUK and it seems to seep thru the plane!  They weren't as bad as previous trips!  I also slept more than I normally do!  Tho I've read a lot of the book I thought would do me for the rest of the trip.

We got to Heathrow and going thru Immigration was OK except for the queuing, tho I think it only took about half an hour.  Then out to find our transfer to our hotel...  Now that was interesting.  The travel agent booked it for us, the driver was a maniac!  Very volatile!  He got Peter and I to sit in the front of the van, a couple from South Australia with a baby sat in the middle and two single women sat in the back!  At least it was a quick trip, once the accident on the road ahead had been cleared up!!!!

I took a photo of Peter and me in the front seat t remind me!
